This saree, from West Bengal, is extremely comfortable. The warp is mill yarn while the weft is handspun khadi. The color combination is rich and elegant. The saree is handwoven on a handloom. The saree has jaamdani motifs all over.
The product is designed and produced by an artist called Biren Basak. His ancestors migrated from Bangladesh leaving everything behind except for their skill to weave. They started weaving again and slowly and gradually started employing other weavers in their area. Today he boasts of employing 10,000 people and not many wish to leave this job. He ensures people are paid well and are taken care off when in need.
Each piece is curated keeping in mind the taste of our customers and the quality of the product. Our purpose is to give exclusivity to your wardrobe with minimal environmental impact. The concept of sustainability does not end here though. We make sure that the true value of the product is paid to the weaver for a sustainable growth. In totality, we work together for better tomorrow.
