This is a Handwoven dupatta dyed with natural dyes. The fabric has the charm of past as unlike today's mercerised cotton the dupatta is made with single cotton thread and is thick to touch. The concept of single cotton handloom products are getting extinct in Odisha as the thread breaks a lot while weaving and is very time consuming.
It is designed Dayalu Meher. The family has been in the business of textiles since time immemorial. They have around 30 families working for them. They have managed to move along with the market demand and has upgraded their designs with time.
